Hello flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend, Stacey-as “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband and draw them every chance I get!

Meet Aunt Marie
Aunt Marie is my father’s Aunt, my Grandma Chickie’s sister, and my beloved great Aunt. Here’s the thing about Aunt Marie, she is everyone’s beloved Aunt, and there are ALOT of us!!! She is just one of those people who others are drawn to! Aunt Marie is a July baby, and will turn 98 in just a few days! Born and raised on beautiful Sugar Island, as are most of my relatives on both sides of my family. There are SO many things that I love and treasure about my Aunt Marie, her sweet sense of humour, her love and adoration of her family, her gorgeous handwriting, her insight mind, her story telling and poetry, I could go on and on. I could spend hours listening to my Aunt Marie’s enchanting family stories of our beautiful family and Sugar Island history-and quite honestly, have! Aunt Marie has the most infectious giggle, dancing eyes, and impish stature. I was inspired to draw even more Sugar Island wildflowers for this Sugar Island beauty. I love you SO much, Aunt Marie
