Joyce Ann
Hello flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend, Stacey-as “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband and draw them every chance I get!
When I dreamed up this printable concept, I envisioned my artwork traveling all over the world
SO…
Each art printable in this series contains artwork for 3 cards-one slimline, one A-2 card, one individual image and 2 sentiments.
Joyce Ann is was drawn to honour my Aunt Joyce Ann-oh boy was she the loveliest!
She kept scrapbooks of our family’s history, long before it was a trend-it was all based on family pride. She was tremendously proud of her Anishnaabe heritage-a true Anishnaabekwe.
Aunt Joyce Ann was a crochet master, hence the yarn inspired artwork. I remember when she found out that my Mom had taught met to crochet-she excitedly shared some of her favorite patterns with me-I felt SO special! She worked magic with her crochet hook. I bet every single family member (and there are a LOT of us!) has something in their home that she crocheted-what a legacy! When I found the quote, ‘Sometimes your heart speaks best through your hands’ I stopped in my tracks-that was my Aunt Joyce.
In my minds eye I can see her, sitting on one leg, at her kitchen table, sipping on a cup of coffee. Her home was warm and welcoming, always filled with cousins, love and respect.
Every piece of artwork on this website is original. I have drawn them all with a pencil and paper. This art printable is for your personal use only.
