Grandma Chickie
Hello flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend, Stacey-as, “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband and draw them every chance I get!
When I dreamed up this printable concept, I envisioned my artwork traveling all over the world.
SO…
Each art printable in this series contains artwork for 3 cards-one slimline, one A-2 card, one individual image and at least 2 sentiments.
Grandma Chickie is my paternal grandmother. She was the kind of grandmother everyone dreams of. She thought everything I did was the most extraordinary. It is a special gift to have someone believe you are the most special, most talented, most magnificent. And here is the thing that makes her even more phenomenal-she had 48 grandchildren-and she felt the same about every single one of us!
My grandmother was kindness personified. Her family was the lifeblood of her existence. Her home, the most warm and inviting place. No matter what time you arrived, she fixed you the yummiest plate, always the gracious hostess. I have this sense memory of the aroma of beef barley soup bubbling on the wood stove and yeasty parker house rolls. As curly as my hair is, she would brush it for an eternity and never made it hurt-a tremendous feat, to be sure. If I close my eyes I can imagine her graceful beautiful hands, I loved her hands. My Dad, inherited her warm brown eyes and her glorious skin tone the color of warm gingerbread, lucky guy. Her eyes lit up when her family entered the room, always a houseful, as there are ALOT of us, but she had a way of making you feel noticed and special.
Every piece of artwork on this website is original. I have drawn them all with a pencil and paper. This art printable is for your personal use only.
