Hello Flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend Stacey-as “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a fresh bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband, and draw them every single chance I get!

This piece is named Sakura-partially for the beautiful cherry blossoms and also to pay tribute to my 5th grade teacher Mrs. Lewis-she taught us to sing the folksong by the same name-I sing it all the time verbatim. It is such a sweet memory! Thank you, Mrs. Lewis, you had such positive effect on my artsy consciousness.
