Hello Flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend, Stacey-as, “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband and draw them every chance I get!
When I dreamed up this printable concept, I envisioned my artwork traveling all over the world.

Meet Dana! Dana and I have been friends forever, it seems. We met one summer, when we both worked as preschool teachers for Palo Alto preschool-but that summer I took the role of summer camp bus driver because I would make 2 dollars more an hour! So we spent that entire hot Arizona summer in an old stick shift bus with no air conditioning getting to know one another and giggling all the way. Thus a lifetime friendship was born. Dana is wicked smart-but here’s the thing, she is just as funny as she is smart-I love that about her and SO much more! She is from Pennsylvania and I from Michigan, both filled with Catholic pride and guilt, family responsibility, and Midwest sensibilities. We have shared and lived through a lifetime of life, know what I mean? Divorce, bad boyfriends, both bridesmaids in each others weddings, child rearing and all that goes with that, career highs and lows, you name it! I count her as one of my constants, a touchstone, and support. Hawaii is in her special sweet spot, having lived there before, now she is back there and so happy. Monstera leaves, hibiscus and plumeria are representative of her in her happy place. I love and adore this girl with all of my heart and will forever more! xoxoxo Dane
