Melissa
Hello flower series is inspired by my sweet English friend, Stacey-as, “Hello Flower” is how she greets me every single time she sees me-it always warms the cockles of my heart! I LOVE flowers! I wear them in my hair, have a bouquet on my kitchen table every week from my amazing husband and draw them every chance I get!
When I dreamed up this printable concept, I envisioned my artwork traveling all over the world.
SO…
Meet Melissa! Melissa is one of my newest friends-new friends are SO fun, aren’t they?!?!? It’s all about the discovery, you learn new things about that person with every encounter-I LOVE THAT!!!
Melissa is super funny in the most endearing way. Her history is quite varied so that makes for great stories and LOTS of knowledge of LOTS of things. She is also a midwest girl, and you know how much I LOVE being from the Midwest. Her dad was a farmer and grew peas for one of the big vegetable companies, who’s name escapes me-but suffice it to say, I was midwest impressed! Melissa LOVES card making and when I met her just a few years ago, had never done anything like it-she is a quick study! When we have out little friend/cardmaking gatherings we always have a kind of potluck and she always brings a kind of retro dish-like macaroni salad, veggie pizza (the 80’s kind with a biscuit-y crust, cream cheese spread and raw veggies toppings-to die for yummy!) to name a few!
She meets all of my friend prerequisites, she is kind, funny and a geninuely fabulous person-check, check, check!
Enjoy!
